It is estimated that at some point, approximately 55% of the population will be affected by the small reddish or purple facial veins that are sometimes referred to as capillary veins or broken veins. These facial veins are often found around the nose and cheeks, and like other types of vein issues, have several common causes including, sun exposure, age, and family history.
Although they may present no health issues, these ruptured veins on the face may appear unsightly.
